bebang's kiay2 coffee

It doesn't look as good as it tastes. But it is good. My newest afternoon drink.
  • a teaspoon of nescafe
  • 2 teaspoons of ricoa (sweetened, no substitute)
  • 2 spoons of nesvita nonfat milk
  • in a cup of hot water
Mix with kiay2. That's it!

i got interviewed!

Was blog hopping one day when i chanced upon this "interview" thing in Vern's blog (Maping's blogmate and friend) but I was too shy to ask her to interview me too =) hehe. So one day, when I read Meow's 'interview portion', I didn't hesitate to join this game...

Here are the mechanics:

1. Leave me a comment saying “Interview me.”
2. I will respond by emailing you five questions. I
get to pick the questions.
3. You will update your blog with the answers to the
4. You will include this explanation and an offer to
interview someone else in the same post.
5. When others comment asking to be interviewed, you
will ask them five questions.

So here are Meming's questions for me..
1) What motivates you? ALSO Have you used these motivators with others?
There are many things that motivate me. Depending on every situation. Like when im down, lazy, grumpy and so low batt, I go to Red Ribbon for Palabok and cake. Buy stuff from National Bookstore, usually scrapbooking supplies. Then I must grab a magazine (either Good Housekeeping, Working Mom or Entrepreneur) which I will read at Bo's Coffee. After that I go home so recharged and invigorated. Generally, what keeps me going everyday are the goals I have set (with hubs) and my simple dreams ---> To be debt free (cnt wait!). To go to Bora with the whole Badilla and Rulona clan, to have a stable business in Bacolod which means, we will eventually settle there (Oh Bacolod! I so love this beautiful place!) . To bring ALL my nephews and nieces to Cebu for a vacation, spend a whole day bonding in Time Zone and Playroom. To go back to my weight a decade ago (Kaya ko to!). To be able to spend time with our parents anytime we want (meaning pagusto lang sakay sa PAL bisan adlaw2 bala haw) . To to have more than enough so we could readily help others in need, especially my bro whose starting his life all over again (linti ka Calonina ka ginapahibi mo ko deh!). To have TIME FREEDOM and FINANCIAL FREEDOM. So that I will be with the people I love all the time. Si Benjo indi na kinanlan mag work .. manage nalang kami amon business (Ilonggo para feel ne feel). These are the things that motivate me.
And I don't think I could use these to motivate others. Motivation is subjective. It always depends on the person who needs to be motivated.

2)How would you rate your communication skills and what have you done to improve them?
Ilonggohanay lang ta ba. pwerti ka fluent hehe.. Cebuano? sus maayo na kaayo ko .. kasabot na ko ug makasulti nasad.. dili sila katag an nga ilongga diay ko gud.. (corny haw) Kidding aside, I honestly think Im not fluent in speaking. I may write well (naks) yes, but heler... pwede na ya bala ma edit hehehe.... much more that I have stoppped doing hosting jobs and teaching ( I used to be an English teacher in Laco Bacolod for 3 years, Gawad Kalinga preschool teacher for 2 yrs...)so, aside from reading and watching English films, I am here being active in blogworld to at least keep my brain from freezing oki?

3)What have you read lately, and what are you reading now?
I read many materials at a time depending on my mood babeh. Im currently reading: If You Really Wanted to Lose Weight...; Your Toddler; Entrepreneur, Cosmopolitan and Misyon magazine... kag kada aga Bibliya dasun gina shout out ko (sa friendster) ang naka touch sa akon kag gina text ko sa mga manghod ko ehehe...

4)Tell us about your experience with online searching.
Searching sa ano man? My search is over. eheehe.. pati ah.. I love this gift of INTERNET. You can find answers to almost any question that pops in your mind.may it be parenting, fashion, food, business, sex. yes.. dala na ina .... ehehe =)

5) What kinds of things do you feel most confident in doing? Somewhat less confident in doing?
Im confident making scrapbooks, writing letters, selling, singing, doing things around the house, laundry, taking care of my son, convincing my husband with anything (hehee gina itik2 ko lang sya sugot na sya dayun ahaha) ... Im somewhat less confident in cooking =( its been my struggle huhu ... dancing, wearing two piece (hikbi) but I know it's going to be sooo soon that I'll be confident again wahahaha! Now that's confidence!!!

There you go!!! Thank you Meming! I enjoyed this! Felt like I was in a couch with Oprah haha ... would you want me to interview you?

super sleepy

.. but i must stay up. just finished my letter for Rujim telling him things about his dad. now im gonna go text my father what he needs to know. HAPPY FATHERS DAY to all dads out there!

what a day

blogmates! sorry for my idle page hehe ... been enjoying my bloghoppings lately.

today, i started with a very positive affirmation but it certainly didn't turn out that way. we had an incident in the house that almost caused me to call an ambulance. i am having a flu (again?) and i hate it that my right nostril gets stuffed with i-don't-know that i can't breathe so i breathe with my mouth. thanks to my hubby for bringing me one million meds including this inhaler which isn't working -- yet.

but then, we can always decide how to go about our day right? so i picked up my bible, and so glad i did. for today's psalm is my favorite:

Psalm 23

A psalm of David.
1 The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not be in want.
2 He makes me lie down in green pastures,
he leads me beside quiet waters,
3 he restores my soul.
He guides me in paths of righteousness
for his name's sake.
4 Even though I walk
through the valley of the shadow of death, [a]
I will fear no evil,
for you are with me;
your rod and your staff,
they comfort me.
5 You prepare a table before me
in the presence of my enemies.
You anoint my head with oil;
my cup overflows.
6 Surely goodness and love will follow me
all the days of my life,
and I will dwell in the house of the LORD
i just love this. i read it everytime im in 'darkness' .. i textd this to my brother. who seldom replies. but he replied this time! that made me happy =) that made my day. and there's more reason to say this is a great day:
  • my sister anne called and we talked for more that an hour.. i talked to my nephew abe (so talkative!!!)
  • i realized i lost 3 lbs! (thanks to kris aquino's tip)
  • i laughed a lot with blogmates -- in meow's site.
  • i went outside and appreciated my parents' touch to our small frontyard
  • was able to update my online store a bit
i still believe this has been a great day.
and this has been your friend bebang saying --- MABUHAY! eheheh.

lazy me

hey there!

been extremely lazy these days. im normally having this syndrome days before my monthly period. grrr. it's an accute disease i guess. to the point that i ask the Holy Spirit to empower me so i could prevent myself from wasting more precious minutes ... grrr.

but i guess the Holy Spirit is working. rather, i believe. always working. now. working...

i'm inspired!
i wanna start doing a lot of things!
first, i shall take a shower, my hubby's gonna arrive any minute and i smell like a lazy rat.

second, i shall shut this PC down. need i elaborate? been glued here the whole day just stalking to people i don't even know. grrr.

third, i really have to turn this off.

shutting down your computer.....

wait a sec ... i did one good thing pala. i wrote my son a short letter =)

anniversary reflection

Helo! Im very busy today. Need to go in 10 mins for a meeting at MEPZ but i just cant help but share about the day that was :)

We just turned 4 as husband and wife! and we both think the same: time flies fast! it seemed like yesterday when i walked down the aisle hehehe

But now, four years and a lot of pounds after (ehehe) we have rujim na. so many blessings. Simple dreams. A handful of trials surpassed. I cant wait for our next anniversary!

Well .. it started sweet and simple. We gave each other inexpensive but loving gifts. We planned to have a casual wifi date at IT park but we ended having tea, facials and foot massage! an even better plan for we both realized surfing on a date is absurd... to0 anti-social. anti-emote2. anti-quality time for each other. hehe

We both liked the thought that Uji was with his 3 titas (Mae, Yang and Bing) while we were out. we both laughed overhearing the spa attendant getting pissed by a caller: "Nangutana if ang 500 daw na massage naa nay 'extra service' (LOL)"

In the midst of our date, i received a bad news: our ninong Art (principal sponsor in our wedding exactlly 4 yrs back) passed away. The news shocked me. Picture of him and ninang marlyn flashed my mind. They were so sweet towards each other. Nice couple. Good family. Beautiful kids. I suddenly realized: Could i accept it if it happened to me? I was so shocked and pained for ninang marlene.

As we walked back to the car, i whispered a prayer. that God give us strength to face such unexpected painful events . Grace to always live each day as if it's our last. Faith to say YES to things we wish would never happen --- obedience to His will.

Typing these words frighten me somehow. But i just surrender to Him. He is the reason why I have life. He knows what's best for His children. I was born to know Him, love HIm, serve Him... so I can eventually be with Him with my loved ones... He is ENOUGH.
