indonesia experience = beyond words

We are back! (wonderful wonderful time with the brothers and sisters from NC Way!) Dying to show and tell!!! But im ssssuppperrrrr busy today... hope this photos will tell how glad we were in our room at Harris! For now all I can say is: THANK YOU LORD.

cake for lolamamang!

For Lolamamang's birthday, I made a half recipe of my orange chiffon cake with butter cream icing! Too bad BB was at work so pardon me for the not-so-fab photos. I used my cam and I think I didn't adjust the settings too well (was in a hurry yesterday for Word Celebration). But anyways, we had fun (and extra calories) with the cake. I finished 2 slices and felt guilty after hehehe.

Here's your cake Mader dear! I hope you had a blast yesterday.... wish we were there to celebrate with you. We miss you all!

when you thought i wasn't looking

Happy Birthday Mamang! I love you very much! Thank you
for everything that you have done for us!
I'm dedicating to you my favorite poem...

WHEN YOU THOUGHT I WASN'T LOOKING
(author unknown)

When you thought I wasn't looking, I saw you hang my first painting on the refrigerator, and I immediately wanted to paint another one.

When you thought I wasn't looking saw you feed a stray cat, and I learned that it was good to be kind to animals.

When you thought I wasn't looking, saw you make my favorite cake for me and I learned that the little things can be the special things in life.

When you thought I wasn't looking I heard you say a prayer, and I knew there is a God I could always talk to and I learned to trust in God.

When you thought I wasn't looking, I saw you make a meal and take it to a friend who was sick, and I learned that we all have to help take care of each other.

When you thought I wasn't looking, I saw you give of your time and money to help people who had nothing and I learned that those who have something should give to those who don't.

When you thought I wasn't looking, I saw you take care of our house and everyone in it and I learned we have to take care of what we are given.

When you thought I wasn't looking, I saw how you handled your responsibilities, even when you didn't feel good and I learned that I would have to be responsible when I grow up.

When you thought I wasn't looking, I saw tears come from your eyes and I learned that sometimes things hurt, but it's all right to cry.

When you thought I wasn't looking, I saw that you cared and I wanted to be everything that I could be.

When you thought I wasn't looking, learned most of life's lessons that I need to know to be a good and productive person when I grow up.

When you thought I wasn't looking, I looked at you and wanted to say, "Thanks for all the things I saw when you thought I wasn't looking."

Jesus is beautiful!

Seeing these beauties I can't stop singing one of my fave songs... a very simple but really beautiful song (recalling GK-Sibol days too )...
"Beautiful, beautiful,
Jesus is beautiful,
Jesus makes beautiful,
Things of my life,
Carefully,
Touching me,
Causing my eyes to see,
Jesus makes beautiful,
Things of my life."

I'm back!

When you see me strumming my guitar, it means I'm back. To the life I really want. Simple... peaceful...

Singing worship songs to God early in the morning sets my day to the right direction. These days are the best days of my life. Just like during my GK days. I thank You Dear God for everything. For making sure Im always near You. Thank You for never letting me go very far. I pray that You continue to give me the grace to always be faithful to You. Thank You for Your great love for me. Thank You for being my NO. 1 FAN! :)

flower for B

One night after one of our meetings in NC Way, one lady named Margaret gave Miguel a flower. I was so amused by the way he reacted. He smiled as if he just won an award and the flower was his trophy. He couldn't stop smiling. He kept on looking at Margaret. And he held on to his 'trophy' like his life depended on it. He held it so tight until we got home. Thanks Margaret! I just love that moment!

big boy in the pool

It was his first time to be free in the pool. He couldn't believe it!

Thankful Tuesday: Loving Bugoys

I thank You Lord for blessing us with these treasures,
Kuya and Baby Migs.
I thank You that they both love each other so much.
I thank You for the joy they give us every minute of every single day.
I thank You for the hugs and kisses.
I thank You for the laughters and the tears.
I thank You for bringing us so much closer to You because of them.
I thank You for being a loving God!

{The photo was taken during Baby Miguel's 1st birthday}

victorious weekend!

... bacause Pacman won! yehey! It was really fun watching with BB, Kuya Ed and Din. What an awesome fight that was! I was rolling on floor laughing at BB's (literally) cold feet! lol! I miss my father... i just love watching boxing with him coz his excitement is too contagious!!!

...because eventhough I missed one scrapbooking event, a friend came to visit! Min, thank you for the brief but quality bonding with our kids. It's my turn next time :)

... because my 3 heroes, slept at one time on a Sunday afternoon which gave me time to do an experiment: leaftover cereal (that I've been setting aside, coz the bugoys don't like it. I don't like it either), 2 eggs, flour, sugar, vanilla, butter... bake for 2 mins) EASY! :)

... because the experiment was successful! yehey! BB even asked me to spare some for his baon today :)

... because we heard mass, and I loved the choir's oh so lively music.

... because after a great weekend, I am now ready to face this week's challenges... and VICTORIES! Thank You Lord for everything. May YOUR NAME BE GLORIFIED!!!

which is which

pacman-cotto fight? or made with love 6th bday party? aaaaarrrrrghhhhhhhh! so difficult. but in the end, pacman always wins so here i am, (in my 'las vegas' shirt!) with BB, Kuya Ed, Din, Mae, and my bugoys... anticipating another victory! GO MANNY GO!

trivia: i once won from pare odick a huge pack of prokids diapers betting for manny. was pregnant then with my first bugoy :) hehehe!

you know what?

Earlier today,
I worried about something,
envied someone,
felt bad about myself,
got confused,
felt alone,
thought life's unfair...

So I asked Him,
silently cried,
I prayed,
and said sorry for these negative thoughts...

He led me to read my favorite book...
The book I've been reading and reading for years...
and He told me:

"Do not lose the courage you had in the past, which has a great reward."

Thank You Lord. You are a living God!

great news!!!

Im so happy today! Just got home from strolling with my Baby Miguel.. we also went to the supermarket to buy some fish and more. The day started so well. Was singing praises to God while breathing the fresh Singapore air. I thought the day couldn't be better... until I opened my facebook and saw the Minyononline post abour Father Sinnot! He is free! SO HAPPY!
"After one month of captivity, Irish priest Father Michael Sinnot, has been released by his captors early Thursday morning in Zamboanga City, the military said."-Mb.com
Father Michael is an Irish priest who turns 80 in December, and has been based in the Philippines since 1976. He has been running a school for children with hearing difficulties for the last four years. I don't personally know Father Michael. But my sister, Anne, works for Misyon. A mission awareness magazine, sponsored and published by the Missionary Society of St Columban. It gave me the chance to meet some of these very cool "bisaya" speaking priests. One is Father Sean with whom my hubby and I had our sacrament of penance the night before our wedding (and we're so honored because he came to our wedding too!) I also cannot forget Father Martin of Cebu. I also want to make mention Father Niall O'Brien, for me he is a hero. I love all Columban priests. I honor them for the work they have been doing in our country, Philippines.

I have been praying for Father Michael since the day he was captured. It just feels liberating to hear about his freedom. Thank you so much Lord! Your love is everlasting!

Mothers' Room in Forum

Just got home from Orchard!
And I'm feeling so thankful!
It's Thankful Tuesday once again! =)

It's always exciting to wake up on a Tuesday morning because I know how the boys love the activities we do at this time of the week :) I thank the Lord for Tuesdays! and the many little and big blessings that come with it.
  • waking up, telling the boys "Today is Tuesday! We are going to Orchard!"
  • smiles on Kuya's face when I tell him: "We are seeing Teacher Agnes!"
  • smiles on Miggy's face when he sees nice shirts being prepared by Mommy. It means we're going out! yay!
  • train rides
  • long stroller rides
  • calories burned coz of those long stroller rides!
  • passing by borders and get the chance to see book sales! (today I got one cute and useful diet book at only $2.50! and one kids cake-making book at half the price!)
  • Hearing positive and encouraging comments from Kuya's speech pathologist! Today was the bestest of all! Kuya is very good and is getting there! Thank You Lord!
  • Seeing the therapy and being able to take notes, brainstorm for my activities with Kuya (and Miguel too!) for the following days of the week.
  • Taking photos of me with my happy bugoys.
  • The joy shared with hubby as I tell him mini stories throughout the day.
Two more reasons to be thankful today: one, I was able to do my belly dance exercise despite the fact that we had to go as early as 9:30! (Wow disciplined!) and two, the cozy moment with Migs at newly renovated 'Mother's Room' at Forum where we usually rest, to nurse him, while Kuya makes wewe :) I already loved the previous room. It was already nice. I think we also took pictures in there. But I really smiled from ear to ear seeing the new room. As a mom, I felt loved. I believe it's God's way of telling me He loves me and He is with me in my struggles, fears in taking care of my little ones. I appreciate the mall's efforts to give importance to Moms (and baby's) needs. I felt like a queen sitting inside that nice room with my prince Miguel! (Kuya didn't want to get inside. Maybe he thinks he's too big to be in a m0m's room. lol) See our photos earlier today!

THANK YOU SO MUCH FORUM !!!

Most importantly, Tuesday is the day for our Word Celebration with NC Way community. I always feel nourished and inspired by the scriptures and the sharings. Knowing and be reminded of God's great love gives me and hubby strength in facing life's challenges everyday. Even on Tuesdays! :)
