what a day

Seven years ago at this time, I couldn't sleep. It was the eve of my wedding. Now, I couldn't sleep again. not for the same reason, but because something really bad happened today. Kuya almost got lost in the church. I was thinking he was with Mae, my cousin who helps me in taking care of the boys, and she also thought K was with me. The moment I realized we didn't have him with us, I whispered a prayer of surrender to God. I ran back to church and ask for help from anybody I came across with, among whom was a church warden. Everything happened in just a few minutes. I think about 5 minutes. But it felt like forever. I was just praying praying praying, I couldn't cry. I remember I was standing by the exit of the church when hubby called me and told me Mae got Kuya already. When I saw him I held him and I don't know how it felt. Mixed emotions. It's not a very happy moment. I almost fainted. But I am praising and thanking God Kuya is here with me, safe and warm. Thank You Lord for that angel who held him and waited for someone to find him. This is a great lesson for us as a family. Needless to say, I must be more focused on my sons next time we go out. Though I can never thank the Lord enough for finding my son, I still shiver with the thought. I can only pray that this bad feeling goes away already. It's torture :(

Seven years ago, I read a passage and that made me sleep peacefully. I'm gonna do it again now....

Psalm 23

A psalm of David.
The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not be in want.
He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, he restores my soul.
He guides me in paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.
You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies.
You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.
Surely goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life,
and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.

Now I hope to have a good night sleep. Tomorrow's going to be a great, special day :) God loves us!

P is for

... Pink!
... Princess!
... Party!

Happy Birthday Princess Zaynah!

I rarely use pink because mine are boys! Thus making this pink page was a real treat! Super fun! Made this LO using my Sizzix dies, Martha Stewart punches, Tattered Angels glimmer mists, stamps, hambly, primas, and the super pink AC glitter thickers... I pray to God that someday, we will have our own little girl too so I'd be able to play with these pink goodies more often =) But more importantly, K & B would be so happy to have a little Baby Sister!!! *Lord! Ikaw ang bahala hehehe*

These fridge magnets are also done with Sizzix! :) I'm happy Zaynah likes these pink things I made for her =)

yesterday... today... tomorrow...

Yesterday, I received a great news. It's about something I used to just day dream about (would hop to some scrappers' blogs and drool on their side bars where their DT/GDT are displayed and wonder how it would feel) Now I can't believe it!  Made With Love appointed me to be GDT! Thank you so much Made With Love! You are my first love! *jumping up and down* More than the perks, what I value most about this whole thing are the learnings and the experience that I'm gonna get. I believe I know very little about scrapbooking. I just have the passion, the guts, but I'm still quite a newbie. Yes I've been scrapbooking since high school but It was only when we got here in Singapore that I really became into it. I'm honestly, extremely intimidated with this DT thing (and with the coolest people I'm gonna work with!) But I'm veeeeeeryyyy eager to learn. And I want to learn so so so much more.

Today --- and speaking of learning, I couldn't believe I was actually having a meeting with Aida Haron, MWL's DT coordinator. I used to just see her (many times!) at the store when I shop for scrapping goods. And it always felt like I was seeing a celebrity. There was one time I asked her about an ink, and she was kind enough to share some tips. That time I was soooo tempted to tell her "Hey, You know what I follow your blog"... etc etc... but I was too shy. LOL! Now, I work with her! She's my very first mentor, I suppose. I'm honored to have actually sat down with her today. She gave me very useful pointers for my class next month. I almost (I thought I) lost my phone because of excitement LOL! So embarrassing! For me she's one of the best scrappers in Singapore and I'm so lucky to be under her leadership. Even just for two months.
Also today, I saw my LO featured as gallery gem at Scrapbook Challenges! My second time at their site! Thank you so much! :)

Tomorrow and the next few days, I will be very busy with a lot of things. Two sets of party favors... MWL Class sample (I already got my schedule! yehey!)... Kuya's school and home activities....And I'm in the process of finishing this...
Miguel's Baptism Scrapbook. Almost done! :)

Yesterday, these bunch had a party.... and I wasn't there :( I can't wait for December, God willing, we may get together again. I just thank the Lord with the friendship I have with FEC. One-of-a-kind. We are like brothers and sisters. And yes, that's my brother, and two sisters in the photo (where's Nanay ni Abe?).I Miss you all. I'm happy we are all "together" again.

Yesterday, today and until Friday we're missing Daddy. He is away for a business trip. Have a great time in Bali, Trim Reaper. We love you!

Uh oh...someone wants to play with Mommy. Miguel is giving me all his colored pens saying: "I want this!" (this is how we play: he gives me blue pen and wants me to write the word blue, then he reads it! Cuteness right?) I better go! Goodnight everyone. Sleep tight for we have a great God who loves us and takes care of everything....yesterday, today and tomorrow :)

wow!

CJ's got some good news! Anyone of us can have this...

Go check out her blog to see  it for yourself! .... Thank you for paying the blessings forward CJ! Hope to see you soon! xoxo ...

love message

Sharing with you my fave pic today and some part of an email I received a second ago from a friend. Thanks Sookie! :)

"All throughout scripture, God commands us to love. In fact, 1 Corinthians tells us that love is the greatest thing. Love is all that matters on this earth, and it's all that will last in eternity. But do you realize that we are protected when we walk in love? When we are selfish or self-seeking, the scripture tells us that it opens the door to confusion and every evil work. But when we walk in love, when we choose to put others first, when we choose to be patient and kind and walk in unity, we are protected by love. We close the door to the plans of the enemy in our lives."

dirty but fun :)

Saw this post while grocery shopping (queueing) with hubby, and I immediately fell in love with the notebook prize! Hurried home.... looked for an already-printed photo ... made a quick LO!

This one goes to my F.E.C. (fire exit club) friends.. We aren't complete here in this pic. It's the only one I have with some of the members Jules, Dee, Anne, Che2 and me... And There's one guest member: Benjo haha! Why fire exit? It's a looong and beautiful story... maybe I'll post about it one day, but now, let me just share with you my "graffiti inspired", dirty but fun page :)

...i just love cosmo cricket chipboard alphas and embellies!

... getting dirty with paint is super fun! bought 2 colors of MM paints again yesterday.... I used to just envy my siblings and father when they paint. I can't believe I'm loving it now =)

... I misted all over the page... and all over our faces lol! click the photo to zoom and see our blue-misted faces hahaha!

Oh, by the way, I got the notebook :):):) Thank you SASG!

Happy Birthday Dit-dit!

May 17! Birthday of the 'princess' among the 5 of us. Was excited to make this page for her coz I could finally use the hambly dress forms! My sister is so into modelling/fashion photoshoots lately --- her past time. She's actually a licensed teacher, would you belileve.  Aside from being the best cook (can cook anything she sees in the fridge. Just make sure someone else does the cleaning. lol!) she's the best 'nanay ditdit' in the whole world to all her nieces and nephews.

Odessa, I pray that this new year of your life would be the best year! I can feel it! Everything in life happens in God's time. If we let Him take over. Believe me. It happened to me. I've learned to live my life letting Him be in charge of the steering wheel. And in times I'd forget and catch myself doing it my own way, it's okay. I just quickly turn it over to Him and things always fall into place :) Pati ka sa magulang mo ha! Nga parehas sa imo tahum lawas hahaha! Love you Bourgsweet!

Made this LO using the color challenge of Scrapbooking Challenges: brown, blue and pink --- which happens to be Dit-dit's favorite color! :) Sketchy Thursdays and Dear Lizzy also inspired me for the making these fabric flowers:

One thing I really like doing these days is stamping! ... and did just a little bit more: embossing using the heat gun :) super FUN!

And I hope my sister will love this :) I think she will. Especially if she sees this cluster: her name, the PINK butterflies, flowers and the dress forms!

Did I mention she also writes (and always wins!) declamation pieces, paints, sews, acts, directs, sings? Just don't make her dance. Please.

Hehehe!

homebody

That's what we are. At least for today. haha.

I woke up today feeling very tired and still sleepy (slept at about 4am after another chika-filled scrapping bonding with Maggie!). Had it not been for K & B's persistent wake-mommy-up tactics, I still would be sleeping till now. But here I am... groggy, but happy we're spending a lazy day at home, or rather room :)

Thank you again and again Maggie and Sherwin for making us feel welcome, just like we're part of the family. Though we are just renting one room, they make us feel like we live in a home (wow I made a rhyme lol). I love it here. Our little kingdom. A room in a home... a home in a room...

my little white corner :)

the cabinet at the left are our clothes, those blue boxes hold some of the toys, the open shelves at the right are my scrapping supplies :):):)

close up of my fabrics! and a jar of beads (thinking of making fabric jewelries one of these days)
thank you Mamang for most of it were sent by her :)

the right side of my mini-office are the tv, Sizzix supplies, more toys (in those white boxes) and some other hidden knick knacks

no matter how small the space is, there's always a room for this frame :) love love love! :)

and this gift that says: "Friends are like flowers. They give pleasure just by being there". Reminds me of buying some buds for a tiny vase to be put at the altar... and reminds me too of my friend who gave this gift. I miss you Min.

and here's where we sleep.. I love the windows, the tress outside...the fresh, clean air... and most of all I love that little 'pungot' one sleeping on that bed!

the books, and the most important of all the books is at the top of the shelves --- our Bible in our mini altar.

That's our home! With very few just-the-important-basic-things but overflowing with God's love :) Thanks for looking! Now it's time for lunch! Have a happy weekend! Mwah!

OPpps... just a little bit something more... it was such a lovely sight this morning when hubby taught K biking :) makes me love him more (pardon me for being too mushy. I guess that's how it is when someone lacks sleep lol).

I've got to go na. Really.

it's not my birthday

... but Maggie gave me a beautiful card! How sweet is that! She has just started scrapping and crafting but look at her creations ...

Inside...

susper nice no? Way to go Margaret! Thanks for your thoughtfulness. Pakapini ug MS butterfly puncher hahaha! P.S. I demand you go with me this coming June 12 for the scrapmeet or else ako kawaton imo 2 ka orocan! *serious*

these things...

These were the birthday invites I made  for Miguel's 2nd birthday.
He celebrated with 3 other kids Reimar, Mikoy and Josh.
Click here and here for the party photos! :)

I used Sizzix dies, imaginisce stamp and pps, and more pps from my stash...

These were the news that really made me smile the whole day yesterday:

The LO I made for my sister Che2 was chosen as
Pamela's POTW (pick of the week)  at Scrapbook Challenges!

.....and  this mothers day paper buoquet was featured as  one of the gallery gems too! yipee! :)

These were the precious moments I captured earlier today...

These are just some of the things that make me excited to get up every  single morning!
Thank You Lord for these blessings... and for the challenges that come with it =) I LOVE YOU!

more scrapping class photos...

Here's another batch of photos of one of my previous classes. These were taken at East Coast. The girls had the best time! :) Sigh... these photos make me miss my friend Min :(  She's the one who organized this class for me.

I really hope I'd be able to see these little ladies again soon! :)

I wanted to share more about the little sweet victories I received today but I badly need to meet with hubby somewhere now. We have a date with God at St. Anthony Church.  Here's wishing everyone a peaceful week ahead!
